31st National Games 2010

31st National Games started on 25 December, 2010. Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Mr. Owais Ahmad Ghani inaugurated Mega Event in a colorful opening ceremony at Qayyum Stadium in Peshawar.

7 venues has been selected for largest ever national games events this year including Peshawar, Mardan, Khanpur Lake, Abbotabad, Islamabad.

15 teams from all over Pakistan are participating in this mega event organized by department of sports including

1- Sindh
2- Baluchistan
3- Pak Navy
4- Pak Army
5- Islamabad
6- Gilgit Baltistan
7- Pak Airforce
8- Railways
9- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
10- AJK
11- Police
12- H.E.C.
13- Punjab
14- FATA
15- Wapda

Mobile Health Units in Rural Areas of Punjab

Delivery of Mobile Health Unit is another great step by CM (Chief Minister) Punjab (Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif) for the people of Muzaffargarh in southwestern Punjab, Pakistan.

Mr. Minister inaugurated the 1st of 6 Basic Health Units today on December 25th, 201o at one of the  most flood effected areas of Punjab Province.  The basic mobile health unit have following facilities;

1- A team of Male Doctor, Lady Doctor (Gynecologist), Lady health visitor and Dispenser along with X-Ray and Laboratory Technicians
2-  Latest equipment like Modern X-Ray Plant, Ultra Sound Machine, E.C.G. Equipment, Laboratory for common blood and urine tests,  Labor Room and facility for children vaccination
3- Ambulance for Serious Patients
4- 125 types of medicines to cure various common diseases
5- Separate examination areas for males and females

Supply of basic mobile health units in rural areas is a remarkable achievement by health department of Punjab.

1- Timing for Cooking Meals: Morning 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM , Evening: 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM

2-Keep your Geyser’s Thermostat at WARM or use Solar geyser

3- Do Not use Gas Heaters, They not only cause health problems but also cause accidents.

4- Wear warm cloths to survive in cold weather.

CM Punjab has taken another good initiative for low income and homeless people in Punjab by starting Ashiana Housing Project. This project is initially started in Lahore and will be spread to other cities soon. House allotments will be done by clean balloting.

The announced project have all the necessities of a modern residential area, like roads, sewerage, water, electricity, hospital, transport, commercial area, parks, health club and community center etc.

The Ashiana Housing Project is offering to categories of ready to live homes with very affordable pricing and easy installments upto 10 years. A 3 Marla Ready to Live House will cost Rs. 8,40,000/- and 5 Marla house cost will be Rs. 11,90,000/- per house.

Ashiana Housing Project consists of special quota for the poor, widows and disabled persons.
