Brain of Lahore 2011

Brain of Lahore Quiz Contest will be held on Satuday, January 29th 2011 at  The Trust School, Amir Town, Harbanspura, Lahore.

Last date for entry submission is January 28th 2011. Competition will be held between Secondary level students from Private and Govt. Schools associated with Lahore Education Board.

Quiz contest will be from following Subjects: English, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science.

Prizes:

Bumper Prize: 20,000/- Cash

Special Price for Winner School: 20,000/- Cash

1st Position in Each Subject: 5000/- Cash

Institute of Winners will get: 5000/- Cash

Terms:

1- Only 1 student from 10th standard is eligible to participate in contest from each school.

2- No Fee for participation in this contest.

 

Daewoo Started Bus Service from Okara Cantt

 

Daewoo Pakistan has added new rout to its countrywide bus services, from Okara Cantt to Lahore, Karachi, Hyderabad, Multan, Moro, Sukkur, Rahimyarkhan and Bahawalpur.

Service has been started from January 14th 2011. Cargo service also available.

UAE Pakistan Assistance Program

 

Govt of United Arab Emirates (UAE) is taking this huge and futuristic initiative for the rehabilitation and development of flood effected areas of Pakistan under Khalifa Bin Zaid Al Nahyan Foundation.

This Plan includes:

1- Re-Construction of Schools

2-  Rehabilitation of Medical Facilities

3- Provision of Safe Drinking Water

4- Rebuilding of Infrastructure

This program is an other step to strengthen the great friendship between Pakistan and UAE.

Free Education for Deserving Students at Danish school

 

Govt of Punjab has taken another step towards the betterment of needy, poor, deserving and talented students in province by starting this great educational project “Danish School System” under the Food Support Programme, children of registered families would be provided all facilities free of cost.

1st school has been inaugurated by CM Punjab at Rahim Yar Khan.

The education upto FSc classes would be imparted in these schools and under this system every school would be english medium adding religious courses would also be started in these schools. The students would be educated in two shifts in Danish schools and they would also have free boarding and lodging facilities.

Danish Schools will give admission to the children from low income (Less then Rs.6000/- per month) families.

Change of Name Nicholson Road to Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan Road

 

City District Government Lahore has decided to change the name of  Nicholson Road (Bohar Wala Chowk to Lahore Hotel Chowk) to Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan Road as per the instructions by Govt. of Punjab.
